Are the PCI-E SSDs actually worth the extra money when building

Are the PCI-E SSDs actually worth the extra money when building a PC? Speeds are good but would it make a big difference?

Got one that can go 2k read, 1.5 write. It aint that bad for vidya. But I think it ran into a bottleneck with my 2666hertz ddr4 ram?

But windows doesnt start faster with it. Only some loading does. If I had to be honest, I would say that yea, they arent exactly worth it that much. A normal ssd would be good enough most likely.

Aren't some NVMe SSDs pretty cheap but still good? (e.g. SM951 or whatever)
