Dual GPU cards outperformed single cards regularly. /g/ got pissed off all the time because dual GPU cards are exorbitantly expensive and usually had driver issues.

But none of that has anything to do with a card designed for VR developers. The card is cheap and is meant for VR development. The new PS4 has two GPUs in it. If you want to develop VR for the PS4, would you buy a Pro Duo, or some Quadro because a mouthbreather on /g/ said "dual gpu solutions are never as effective" ?

I'm reserving judgement on whether or not the Pro Duo is worth its price tag, and I think the delays have probably caused it to miss its window, BUT I don't think the Pro Duo is meant to compete with the Quadro 6000 series in any world. Maybe the 5000 series, which is still like $1000 more.

The Titan X and XP are worthless as workstation cards. Nvidia went full gaymen on them, despite still trying to sell them as something more.
