I'm hitting the train in two hours and I will spend 7 hours sitting on a boring-ass seat with no Internet connectivity. All that will entertain me will be my Clip+ and my Gentoo laptop.

What are some programming challenges that could keep me awake? Of course I'll do everything in a tty.

You're doing it in hard mode.

I'd read a book / watch a documentary or a MOOC. TED talks if you feel reddit on the inside.
