I just started a new job as a developer. I've done web stuff with php, ColdFusion, and some other crap the past 5 years.
My new job, if I'm going to male any good money, requires I learn VB6 and eventually how .net work.
I was hoping you guys could help me out. Fist things first to learn this in 2 weeks is I'm guessing visual studio? I have used that since my first year of college.
Does anyone know where I can get visual studio for free? I found a torrent, but it's only the studio 2013 version.
Am i going to need the newest version of visual Studio to learn and use VB6 well? How hard of a ride am in for a two week cram session of VB? Any beginner tips? Any help with this endeavor would be helpful! Pls /g/ I need you.

>VB6
Easy
>.NET
Even easier
>visual studio for free
If for some bizarre reason your company does not have a technet subscription, you can get visual studio community for free.
>Any beginner tips?
Just start fucking writing stuff. VB6 and .NET applications are mind blowingly easy to write in and anybody with prior programming experience of any kind can figure it out.
use dotnetpearls.com for quick explanations on things.
