This is what happens when people in charge have no idea how technology works.

>tfw losing my job
T-thanks.

the major reason is likely corruption
it's fucking brazil, which is dodgy enough at the best of times
they've also just had an illegitimate coup d'état

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, I guess. Government officials have never been known for making wise decisions.

It's wise as fuck when you're getting a cut from the supplier.

Not when you take into consideration all the Brazilian outrage over the Snowden revelations. Microsoft is the last group you should be trusting when you want to lock down your systems. It's to Microsofts advantage to cooperate with U.S. Intelligence Agencies.

well, you are right, he didn't appoint himself. the US embassy and brazilian capitalists conspired with him and other corrupt monkeys in his party to perform a coup d'etat, and as soon as he got in office, he destroyed everything the previous govt did

the sad thing is that he hasn't been shot or bombed, so he's still alive
>>
>>57312217
He knows how it works, but he wants to give brazilians arses to USA. All brazilian right wing is like that.
>>

dilma got impeached because she fucked up the economy, temer just took the opportunity

also this isn't /pol/ so out

Born just in time to see your country become a botnet
>>
>>57313965
no, she got impeached because the US embassy, shillary rotten clinton and obongo the monkey wanted it, and because it benefited the other corrupt party

we live in latam, corruption is the norm here, she got thrown out because the opposite mafia got the instruction from the US embassy.

why, do you think, they would do this?

it's obvious, m8. go read a history book, almost every single dictatorship in latin america had the (economic, political, military/intelligence) support of the US govt

OMFG, DUMBASS!

The Government is not going to change ANYTHING.

There is even a spreadsheet with each agency and assessment programs that use, many of them are satisfied with what you have and remain so.
What happens is that some organs that would already buy Microsoft licenses expressed officially purchase intent and how they're going to pay for that cheap.

In other words, these organs would acquire the licenses, only now will pay less.

It's not end of free software in the Government or something.

Recommend this excellent video which makes a detailed analysis of what happened:
