I'm looking for a mid range (£500-£700) laptop that has specs good enough to do some gaming on (specifically grand strategy games) and maybe some others. What's going to get me the best bang for my buck?

get some second hand 960m laptops from msi or asus. The 10 series laptops are olling out now, so you can definitely get something for very cheap on eBay.

I've been looking at the ASUS Zenbook UX310UA. It goes towards £700 but it has a skylake i5 and 1800p screen.
