Have one of these with a most likely fried motherboard sitting around. Wat do?

Gut it and turn it in to a hackintosh case

That looks amazing but would cooling be an issue?
>>57300365
How so?
>>57300365
the whole thing is vents, pull from the frony, push out the back
>>57300388
Pretty much. Rig up a couple of front intake fans and you're good.
>>57300365
Nah everything stays relatively cool except for one of my hard drives that is dying and needs to be replaced. The CPU for example is in the high 30's following a few hours on GTA so it cools down pretty well.

don't know what's inside one of those cases but i would expect the usual apple fuckery. are the front and back entirely vents?

yeah
>>57300259
You'd have to resoder and replace RAM slots, ROM, and any shorted tracers, maybe a whole new logic board if you done fucked up.

The original design had seven fans and several seperate cooling zones. This was necessary because IBM/Motorola didn't bother to optimize the TDP of the G5 chip.
The G5 won't run unless the air ducting is in place.

I have a slot cover, can't get it in cos of my fat fingers. There's a metal shelf blocking it.
