Is there any point in buying a SSD or SSHD neither of them actually have lower power consumption and I'm OK with loading speeds?

How can you be "ok" with the slow-ass loading speeds you get from a HDD? I could never go back to that shit.
having to be conscious of movement causing damage to the hard drive sounds like something my kids will make fun of me for someday. like waiting for the pony express or something

what are you doing that you aren't ok with loading speeds you get from a HDD?
>>57299439
I don't think you'll have to worry about your kids making fun of you.
SSHDs are universally trash and extremely prone to failure, ESPECIALLY 2.5" ones
SSDs are great, a cheap $80 512GB or even a $60 256GB as a boot drive with a little extra space will definitely show you what SSD speed has to offer, but if you're really fine with your 2.5" HDD (ugh) don't spend money because someone told you to

I'm considering them mostly for power saving and SSDs are expensive past 240GB ones here.

.6?
Like .6 watts?
My SSD uses .1w under load, .04w idle, and .005w in sleep mode

I went from a HDD to SSD in 2014, and never looked back. All of my devices are SSDs for OS/programs now.

Does your laptop have an M2 drive slot? Even if it's just SATA based it'll barely use any power and you won't need to replace your current 2.5"
>>57299563
No, it does not. It's a cheap europoor Asus model.
>>57299543
Yes.
>>57299549
i've never had any issues with loading speeds using hdds. probably because linux likes to cache everything and i hardly ever reboot
>>57299391
>tfw i'm using this and i don't really care
>>57299391
0.6 of what? microdicks up your ass per second?
You're fucking retarded.
>>57299900
yes.
>>57299999
Nice get you maximum overfaggot.
