Force the update with arguments on the command line when executing winflash.exe, you need to do it via the command prompt though. Google up the arguments because i don't remember them right now.

It's the same procedure to downgrade the BIOS to unlock 1600mhz ram or flash a custom BIOS when the flasher doesn't let you to downgrade the BIOS.
