What hobbies does /g/ partake in?

Switching over from Windows permanently and trying to leave gaming behind as well.

Is it basically just ricing and anime, or does /g/ have other hobbies as well?

Build things.

Laying out PCB's or simple circuit schematics and simulation are all well supported in linux, and for machining there are a few CAD suites which will allow you to layout things with some permanence and communicate well with machine shops.

My personal suggestions would be either digital art with krita, some game development on unity or godot, learn to use a DAW like bitwig or maybe learn electronics with kicad or fritzing and arduino.

Biking.

The perfect hobby if you're a neet/student.

If you're poor, get into bike touring (self supported), it's absolutely fucking goat, especially if you live in the US.

And you have an excuse to be a loner faggot, because long distance touring is a hassle to do with someone else, unless you do it with your partner for life.

I study jap and practice drawing. I also probably spend more time listening to music than watching anime, which is like, one episode of some given series a day then one episode of another one a week.
Though, I dont actually browse /g/ but I go on other imageboards that talk about /g/ stuff, and use linux and am learning programming and such.
I dont rice much yet beyond custom color schemes for KDE.

>I have my own beehive so I extract honey, grow my own weed
Is it true that when bees collect their honey from the herb, the honey also gets medical properties?
>>
>>57298865
No idea, I don't mix it. My cannabis is growing in a self-contained grow tent, I don't want my honey to have illegal stuff in it, I give it to family and friends. It certainly would affect the honey if the bees visited enough flowers, but they tend to need millions for flowers for a single drop of honey so you'd need a hemp field.
>>
I keep gaming with my other hobbies. I don't know why people on /g/ are obsessed with leaving it. If want to quit just uninstall or sell your games.
>>
>>57296105
Making beer wine and meads
Making sausages
Working on my car
Sewing
Gardening
Video games

>>57298835
How do you deal with the weed smell when you are growing your plants? I heard they get pretty smelly and I don't want to annoy my neighbors with it since they are nice people.
>>
>>57298968
I use an active carbon filter during flowering, also I grow strains that don't smell a lot (like northern lights or Master Kush)
>>
>>57296105
I play guitar and lift

I think getting outside regularly can really help people develop the sort of <mindfulness/groundedness/realization that you're okay and that you can do whatever you choose to do> needed to change a deep-set habit

good luck

learning a programming language
reading for pleasure
reading social science
writing short stories
art, art and more art
cooking
the odd drug binge
sports
body weight training

there's not enough time in the day for it all unfortunately

if I have games available to me I typically end up wasting my day to them

thankfully 9/10 games are awful these days however it would be childish to turn my back on what is otherwise a very powerful medium, so I watch from afar, quietly hoping for change

I made music as a hobby to the point that I've been working in the industry for over a decade in technical positions and have just polished up a PhD in it too.

Hobbies can be fun and a profession if they're broad enough to segment. I'm about to take up programming properly for the first time in two decades to help people in my industry migrate to Linux.

I still play games on consoles.
>>
>Geimus
>Animeme
Rarely because there's not many games or shows worth my time and I killed my entire backlog for both during a NEET phase.
>Music (listening and playing)

>Programming (mostly for work nowadays)
>Masturbation
Daily or nearly daily.

I tried to get into drawing a while ago but got pissed off because it required effort. Might try again if I find myself with a lot of free time, which I will probably not.
