Get a ThinkPad. Will last you a long ass time and take a beating while giving you everything you need and more for around $200.

I think dell makes 17" inspirons

What's the minimum? Tyrone's 5 finger discount of course. After that buying used on Craigslist, where if you're lucky you might find an i7 Haswell with 1080 display in the $200 price range, I've found a few myself.

As for buying new, given your requirements, honestly I'd just get a solid Chromebook, in which case it'd be about $250
