Redpill me on Rust. Is it going to take over demand for C++? For those of you familiar with it, should I bother learning it?

It's a few decades late to the party of safe systems languages and will be about as successful at taking over as Ada was. In other words it's a literal meme. With that, its shitty C heritage, and the SJW community, no, you shouldn't bother learning it.

Anything associated with Mozilla is toxic and should be considered harmful.
What are the latest hipster languages, /g/?
Swift, Go, Rust, and Javascript outside of the browser are the only ones I really associate with hipsters these days

I hear Ruby and Python are pretty hipster.

Javascript is literally in everything web related now. I wouldn't exactly consider that hipster, even if it used to be.

Rust is a very nice language, sadly the SJW community is killing it.
Maybe it will be adopted by a big company and we will get a decent compiler in the next 5 years.
They can't even maintain their browser anymore why would you use their memelang

Go is a new and successful system language. I believe Rust isn't growing stronger because of Go and, of course, because their tooling and ecosystem that is damn slow to progress and get on big open source projects (like Go and Docker).

>go
>systems language
Hahahaha. No.
