How does it feel knowing that in 5 years, no laptop or keyboard will include Esc, F-keys or a nav cluster now that Apple pioneered the 5-row keyboard?
How does it feel knowing that all computers are slowly becoming appliances for consuming media and enthusiasts will LITERALLY have to jailbreak their keyboard just so they can add the Esc key back if they want to use archaic software like Vim?
You do realIze the OLED strip can be made to display those very keys, right?

latest version of OS X allows you to change the key binding for ESC in Settings.

The same person that would excited about that would be the type to purchase $300 Beats

Losing esc sucks a lot.
Fn keys have always been trash.

Not trying to start a flamewar, but why the fuck would anyone want a keyboard like this. Do people enjoy paying more for less functionality.

Same reason why the latest iphone was the best selling iphone in years despite having less features than the last one.

The least Apple could do is make a touch screen MBP. I don't want an OLED strip. Plus, look at those keys. I don't like programming with the Macbook.

So since they added the same keys to the MBP, another reason I don't want to the new version.
