Modern VSTs developers like Xfer and Native Instruments develop with all this newfound power in mind. Try running a couple instances of Serum, Symphony Essentials or Massive on a slow processor, let alone without any latency. The fastest stuff will always be beneficial to music producers.
>>
>>57237099
>explain to me why audio production hasn't been in the realm of "good enough" computer power for at least the last five years if not eight.
macOS optimizes battery life over all else, so enjoy your drop-outs when App Nap does its thing:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209545109
>>
>>57237163
no you plug the mixer in via usb and then control it with the DAW the computer is doing all the recording
>>
>>57237157
bezelless is stupid:
1. worse structural integrity
2. no safe place to touch the display to open/close
3. no place for a webcam
>>
So, with no ESC, butterfly keys and battery draining toolbar... who is this laptop aimed at? Certainly not professionals?
>>
>>57237242
that's why apple spends billions on product development to solve these problems

bezelless is the in thing right now so you can be sure apple will be hopping on that bandwagon in a few years

laptops aren't ergonomic, so after their 20s they would all be in pain.

you don't always record and produce in a studio a lot of bands do it on the go and in hotels etc.

also most bands use laptops in their live sets so you need the added reliability

The search key kind of acts like the "super" button since it lets you search for apps/files and the top buttons can act like function keys.
