Need help.
I own a gtx 970, and I want to upgrade my monitor. I'm eyeing this monitor. Can I ran this for AAA games?

Yeah go for it you retard.
Once I use my mind reading powers to find out the model of that monitor I'll tell you.

That's IPS Glow not backlight bleed asshole

pretty sure you're a retard.
i have this monitor but the glow on mine is no where near as bad. holy shit that one looks awful. but no op if you only have a 970 is not enough.

the bleed goes away mostly when you get to the actual desktop. only looks that bad on idle and startup

>bleed does not matter because i dont look at dark pictures

it doesn't look like that irl. IPS panels are GOAT.

youre so fucking retarded its unreal. my desktop is pitch black and it doesn't look like that. the camera phone makes it look a million times worse than it really is. and at least when i look at blacks on an IPS i can see the actual black unlike you on your shitty TN. end your life.

Not all IPS are born equal. 1000:1 is trash tier.

Well, I guess I could dig up my old ibm laptop somewhere...
>>57233218
Since when do IPS panels display true black? At least you have an oled monitor, then I doubt that you have pitch blacks.

OP's monitor is not IPS, just a very good TN (which amounts to mediocre or bad IPS).

If you want good monitor, go for (s)PVA, even older dells look much better than modern TN/IPS junk.
Beware contrast ratio isn't always indicative of bleed. Think of bleed as added white constant depending on viewing angle, regardless of what the pixel displays. Ratio simply means that the other pixel can be 1000 times brighter than other black pixel, which still bleeds by fixed amount.
This depends on technology, better technology can shield off the back light better. Which is why old 300:1 PVA bleeds much less than modern TN/IPS lowends.

he owns a 970, what did you expect
