Microscopes are technology.
Our 20 year old JEOL 5800 LV is getting replaced this winter, the hype is real.
I will post some SEM, I don't have anything else on this computer.
Does anyone work on newer scopes with all touch screen controls? Is it annoying to work with or not?
I just started working on some Helios 4500 models. Im pretty new to microscopy but they are badass

That is dual beam correct? Are you involved in manufacturing or is it for materials research?

Here is the same type of sample dried improperly
If by dual beam you mean E-beam and I-beam then yes. I do FIB work for intel mainly looking for defects or shorts
I can contribute some images I have laying around I use for reference lol
This image is of a sample that is 90% done with thinning. We thin the samples so the TEM engineers can analyze the area of interest

I'm hoping to get some time on TEM soon. I'm in biological research and everything really cool is done on TEM. SEM is fun and all but really most universities without material science or geology have one just to make pretty pictures.
