Want to try out google cardboard but my phone is 5.5 inch 1080p.
I've heard you need at least 1440p for vr. Is that true? Why?
What will happen if I try out vr anyways? Will it just look like shit?

it will be blurry
It'll work with 1080p. I gave my Google cardboard to some poorfags with 720p screens and they were still amazed. 1440p is probably the recommendation for full immersion. Which I consider BS. Cardboard is a novelty but still worth trying, not worth buying a new phone over without trying it first.
Does anyone here have a fix for VR drift?
I'm tired of this shit

>my phone is 5.5 inch
we all know what you really mean op
I gave it a try with a 5.5 inch 1080p phone (OPO). It looks decent enough but cardboard stuff still sucks. Some videos are nice, but prepare for overall total disappointment and giving up in 15 minutes of exploration.
If anyone knows actual good cardboard stuff, please prove me wrong.
