Bought a Roomba for my large living room (wooden floor). Works alright, but is rather slow, because the routes it takes aren't optimal and it definitely needs to go over the same spots more than just once. I always wondered if these robot vacuums are any good. I know how much effort i have to put into vacuuming thick wool carpets using 2000W machine. I can't imagine it to vacuum my carpets sufficiently. It's more effective to just clean up by hand.

RFID gets rid of the need for computer vision, just scan the item and you know what it is, where it is an its orientation. This makes manipulation easy

Definitely, I would say roombas are only for hard floors without much stuff in the way because it isn't very good otherwise.

I would rather recommend one of those leaf blowers instead. It would probably be faster, work better, and probably be much cheaper.
