Urgent help needed I was watching YouTube on my laptop, and noticed

I've tried taking it back out, removing the mouse USB base, and taking off the charger, plus simply closing the lid, but none of those in any combination work to do anything.

Did you try asking tech support?

Unplug power.
Remove battery.
Take out the useless DVD drive and throw it in the trash.
Insert battery.
Plug in power.
Press ON.

ok ezpz:

>get a bit of aluminium foil
>look at the contacts in the laptop
>there should be "+", "-" and "T" or something similar
>now put the foil so that it covers + and -
>put battery back and boot up
>if it doesn't boot normally let sit for a bit and post again

It's the fastest way to revive his clearly dead battery and tickle a little more juice out of it. I know technically you're not supposed to use T as dual terminal but it just werks

Op here. Tech Support man has told me that i should pay $149 for a one time fix, after showing me how many of my Windows processes were shutting down, likely causing it to not boot (which he showed me how to force it to do with holding and pressing power in a certain pattern). He believes it's a software issue that will kill my computer. I believe it's a hardware issue with my DVD drive that just became external. Currently running multiple antivirus scans, going to back up my porn, try running a Tron script, and if all else fails, re install Botnet 10. Will update with progress .

Don't pay it, throw away the dvd drive. Put your battery in and let it charge on another power point (as some reassurance) because it could be a case of the drive is forcing the laptop to reroute power directly to it so all the power isn't going into normal use. Either that or replace your cmos battery because that could've ran out trying to power the drive.
