Analogue instruments vs digital VST. Which one and why? /mu/

If you're skilled and you wish to make music which is somewhat natural, pick up an analogue instrument. A normal ear will pick up any human elements when you play the guitar or drums or whatever.

If you're wish to cheat time, then VST all the way. The good ones are very very very expensive, the cheap ones suck and sound dry and robotic.

VST is fine for electronic music, but don't expect to create your own wind orchestra.

if you've got the skills or the money to get somebody who knows how to musical instruments, i'd do as much analogue as possible
