>Keep reading about hackers hacking bank accounts and shit
>Suddenly get very scared
Is there no security in today's world? What the fuck senpai
i figured out that if you keep pictures of goatse in all of your profiles & folders. then when they get hacked the intruder has to look at goatman lol
There have been so many hacks this year and those are just the reported ones. Don't keep all your money in one place. Switch accounts to new banks every year. Don't fall for the contactless meme.
Just keep strong passwords and use different ones across sites. There's nothing much you can do about a bank account hack aside from keep a decent sum of cash hidden somewhere in case you get fucked and need money.
Otherwise just be careful where you stick your bank card

No security can replace common sense and no security can protect people from their own stupidity.
>2 factor authentication
>strong passwords
>strong security questions and answers if you are forced to use them

OP, these are the most common scenarios
>shitty forum/website gets hacked
>usernames and passwords either in plaintext or weak hashes
>Most people use same username/password everywhere
>your other accounts (bank) get compromised
OR
>old peice of technology never gets firmware updated (e.g. router or IOT like a fridge if you're retarded)
>Is very insecure, vulnerable to attack
>congratz, you are now part of the botnet
Use different usernames/passwords, use 2-factor auth, update your shit often if you can.

>password stored in plain text
That only happens if you are American and use magnetic strips or Internet banking without hardware keys and what other third world garbage have they
What do you have to lose?
If the bank gets hacked, they're responsible, not you.
