Its in all in one media player, unlike mpc where you need extra software to match mpv in quality. Its lightweight and portable. I like how it uses a .conf file for settings. Its highly customizable. Picture quality is great. Good support. I like that it has no gui making it sleek and efficent. Using a keyboard is a lot faster and easier for me anyways. There are probably other things I cant think of now. There's no harm in trying it, if its not for you then its not for you.

Lightweight and no annoying GUI, looks great right out of the box without fucking around installing other shit
