OH SHIT. The mousewheel actually opens shit? Is this a new thing? Thanks anon.
Wait till you find out what happens when you middle click on a tab
"Smart middle click" used to fix this problem, I can't find it on the mozilla addon site but I did find this.
http://www.ffextensions.com/addon/Smart+Middle+Click/1897.html
Maybe I'll unpack it and see if I can get it working on modern Firefox later.

>click on center of scroll bar
>screen scrolls to center of the document instead of instead of paging up/down

Jesus Christ, underage b&?
>>57183571
nah. I mean... I've just never noticed it. I always used it just to scroll. When I press it, it does this scroll arrow thing, so I assumed that's all it did. I've never seen anyone do anything else with it. There's like no mention of it anywhere. This is the first time I've heard of this in my life.

Given that the only piece of software that normies use is the web browser, isn't it puzzling how fucking terrible most people are at it?
>>57185711
i do that sometimes
is there something wrong with doing that? all of my friends use v high dpi and middle clicking moves their mouse so much i click a different link
>>57184602
I'd just like to interject for a moment but (...)
Also what happens when you middle click on title bars (window decorations, they are called) depends on your window manager and its settings. In stock i3 for example, it does absolutely nothing.

>google image search picture
>middle click on picture to take you to source image
>get sent to shitty website that wants you to pay to save the image in full resolution
>decide to use the full sized image right next to it which is identical and free

>>57182823
Oh I hate that shit.
That and lightboxes.
>>57183164
Keep us posted, I'm very interested in that.
>>57186942
Sorry I didn't mean tonight, I'm watching people build a pc while 2 other people play ddr over a green screen but the game footage is replaced with godzilla fighting king kong. It's important that I finish that first then go to bed.
>>57187235
Okay, then I'll just search the archives for the addon's name (Smart Middle Click) for your results.

literally how
if I manually typed the image link it opens it directly
is there a user script to stop this shit from happening?
Sometimes it is impossible to find the original image on the site that loaded even

i can fine pgup/pgdn/home/end without looking as i use them quite often
>>57187589
I'll try but I make no guarantees that I'll remember, if anyone else wants to take a whack at it be my guest. There may also be another extension that does work so you may want to look as well.
>>57186011
how the fuck do you switch tabs?
>>57187634
Try Handy Image and Imagehost Redirect scripts. Also consider the Redirect Bypasser and Clean Links extensions if you're using Firefox.
>>57183230
that is a good thing tbqfh if you want to go 2/3 or halfway down a longass page
>>57187733
clean links looks amazing

No. In general most people are average or below average regarding tasks. That means that they can do the most basic operations by themselves. Furthermore, if they are shown something useful which isn't to tedious and mentally challenging for them to do. They will adapt using this one new skill giving them a tech-savyy-ego-boost by an order of magnitude compared to other plebs.
