Introduction to Computing Systems: From Bits and Gates to C and Beyond
Book by Yale Patt.
If I wish to learn C by first reading the introduction C section in this book then super setting it with The C programming Language by K&R is this the best way to do things? I'm only asking because ordering K&R will take a while while I can get a feel of C first with this online pdf

I misread that as bill gates lmao.
Just go through the online pdf, I haven't read this one but there'll usually be tutorials with worksheets for you to complete. It'll be a good start.

it's good, it's more a introduction into programming and computer science but it will learn you some C too.
as a side note this is actual the book used for the introduction course at my university.

I see, its actually offered as 2nd year course for us where it focuses on the LC-3 assembly function stuff, I was just wondering about the C-section as we briefly touched on it

google title + pdf and click on the reddit link

Yeah, that works. Thanks!
Too bad it's from Reddit, I'm sure if I could download it from 4chan it'd be better. More anarchic and shit.

I had a look at it when i was at the uni library
I think the book said it covers about 2 years worth of material
a good chunk of the book is dedicated to digital logic and electronics
you can learn to program in C without knowing all of the logic design, so if you don't want to go into electrical engineering it's hard to recommend it.
check out these video lectures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE7l6Adoiiw&list=PL6B940F08B9773B9F
they are about C, the lecturer explains things pretty well
hope this helps
