I'm still grandfathered on Unlimited data I use like 60GB a month. If I want to upgrade my phone is my only option to buy a device from a third party? I have a G5 at the moment but the lack of the root is really making me want to switch to something else.

You can upgrade with Device Payment like everyone else. Basically we take the retail price of the device and divide it by 24 months. Usually around $28ish for the high end phones. This doesn't create a contract beyond the promise to pay the retail price.

For your plan it is a flat addition of the monthly payments. Still a lot more forgiving then straight out purchase. Everyone else gets a discount to their line access making it nearly on par if not a smidge cheaper then a 2yr agreement.

Just keep your usage below 100gb. Those using that much and above are simply being disconnected from Verizon.

We have been steadily increasing the price of unlimited over the last year. It is like $60 more then it was 14 months ago. People who use your amount aren't the problem. It is faggots blowing 200gb's and running their apartment complexes off their Verizon mifi's that are the real problem.

Still you can walk into any corporate store tomorrow and get a new phone for like $20-70 depending on the tax of the phone itself.

We've built the network yet we are spending a fucking ton on servicing people's phones and warranty issues and returns and complaints about system updates fucking up everything. Even if Apple or Samsung fuck the poodle. We are the face that people know and send the hordes to complain against.

Verizon wants to provide the network AND if you want it. A phone at full retail, we will simply carry the cost for 2 years. IF you want to buy the phone through us. We don't give a shit.
