Don't.

It's not worth it.

You need two GPUs to be able to use your system properly when doing passthrough.

Dual-boot or just drop linux. Since you can't even google this for yourself, I think the latter is the right choice for you.

I asked if GPU is immediately available after closing VM.

you can use the onboard gpu

but if you have an nvidia card, you can only do it with a quadro. they dropped support on non quadro cards to make you pay the doublecuck premium :o)

GPU passthrough is a mess.

3D acceleration in your hypervisor of choice is where it's at, if you're not some 4k gamer kid.
