it's not even just about that. they're the same as consumer Dells et al. I've seen people using Windows XP here. Japan is technologically backwards in so many respects.

Almost everyone I know has a Macbook for home use and nearly everybody has an iPhone (like, if you see an Android phone on the subway you kinda think that person must be too poor for iPhone) (I'm an Android user btw, never owned an iPhone)
