What are the good, free anti-virus options out there? I'm tired of AVG's bullshit.

Avira AV
Malwarebytes
All you need.
GNU Common Sense
literally doesn't matter. 0 day malware will always go undetected so use your own judgement instead of relying on software

>"Doctor, are there any vaccines you think I should get before I travel to places with lots of diseases?"
>"nah just don't get sick tho lol"
Quality contribution!
It's better to have an AV program and not need it than to not have one when you do need it.

That analogy is flawed, you can't detect diseases at a glance while malware can be spotted from the source.
No shit its better to have something rather than nothing, the point is that you don't need it.
It's not perfect, but I found avira anti virus with BGPKiller to be a solid option. I install it on all my retard coworkers'/friends' computers, and it makes my life a ton easier.
