>Kaby Lake Pentium has HT enabled
THANK YOU BASED INTEL
AYYMD IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
>>57115007
Ching chong ching chin chin
i3 pointless now?
>>57115018
No, i3 also has HT enabled
>>57115039
So why would i spend money on an I3 when i could get the pentium?
>>57115069
Pentium doesn't have AVX, AVX2 or FMA3 enabled?
>>57115069
Also you can see 3MB L3 cache on Pentium vs 4MB L3 cache on Core i3
>>57115007
It's all about the pentiums baby
>>57115082
Idk what those are and why I should care
>>57115096
That doesnt really matter
>>57115082
Which fuck all programs actually use.
>>57115007
whats HT and why does it matter?
>>57115119
>Idk what those are and why I should care
also
>paying virtually the same money for less performance
>>57115170
If its same money why does pentium exist
>>57115152
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-threading
>>57115152
Fuck off.
>>57115152
It gives you virtual cores so that programs that require more than two cores can actually run on your low end processor.
HT sux
>>57115119
>Idk what those are
Kill yourself
>>57115119
Kill yourself.
>>57115119
kys nigfag
>>57115196
does this affect a pc used for webbrowsing and movie watching only?
http://math-atlas.sourceforge.net/atlas_install/node21.html
>>57115247
Yes.
Those activities can very commonly take advantage of such features, though they do not require them to function.
You would likely be able to see the difference in performance between having audio video and subs on a single core versus splitting these across multiple threads.
What the hell? I don't see any symbol marking that hyperthreading is enabled in that CPU-Z window?
>>57115007
Is that a fucking bootleg chinese internet explorer?
>>57115069
AVX, AVX2, 2 threads more, more cache.
If you really dont know you shouldn't care and buy a overpriced prebuilt.
>>57115039
>I3's ship with 4Ghz at stock now
>Whew
>>57116172
it's called 360 Browser, it's pretty much just IE and Chrome put into one browser that was made by the same company that made 360 antivirus, it's the most popular browser and antivirus in China
>>57115039
current gen i3 processors already have HT.
http://ark.intel.com/products/90731/Intel-Core-i3-6300-Processor-4M-Cache-3_80-GHz
>>57116145
Both display four cores in the device manager.
>>57116710
So it's a snake oil?
>>57116801
i'm not sure i understand what you mean
>>57116764
I know, it's Pentiums having HT enabled that is new
>>57116810
What I mean is that it's just some bullshit like "secure browser so hackers wont ddos u". Because that's what most antiviruses do, giving you fake sense of security just to sell their products.
>>57115119
>Idk what those are and why I should care
retard
>>57116843
oh I see, I've just never heard the term used in my life
it's essentially that, yeah. the international version of 360 security gives you ads all the time. the browser doesn't, but it was advertised in China as more secure as IE at the time of IE version 7 or 8 so people there just kinda flocked over without really looking into it or something
i'm not sure about how well it utilizes Trident and WebKit in the same browser but if it works for whoever uses it, I could not care less.
Intel is worried Zen will fuck their line up right?
>i3
>4Ghz stock
Seems like a pre-emptive move.
Chances are Zen will be competitive but might fall short on gaming tasks against 4Ghz stock cpus due to gaming tasks being clockspeed hungry
>>57116991
>Zen being 8 cores of Haswell IPC possibly clocked high
>Cheaper than intel
Yeah, Intel is shaking, that's awesome for the money on AMD's part.
