http://www.hardocp.com/article/2016/10/17/amd_nvidia_gpu_vr_performance_h3vr

>As for GPU and performance in H3VR, let's start with the bad. And the "bad" once again is AMD's RX 480. Let me quote Roy Taylor of AMD.

>AMD makes the best GPU's for VR.

>No matter how many "Premium VR Ready" stickers AMD puts on the RX 480 box is going to change the truth that the RX 480 8GB is probably one of the worst choices you could make when purchasing a card for a VR build. The GTX 1060 6GB video card is the "same" price and a far better choice. The Radeon RX480 is the only card in our review that cannot keep the system from falling into Reprojection at the "High" IQ setting, which is the default setting for this game. And we again we had multiple BSODs while using the RX 480 as well. Falling back a few driver versions solved this. But with the latest "Hotfix" driver I would suggest that Steam VR was unusable with the AMD RX 480 video card. I only actually got Steam VR to run successfully twice out of about 12 tries with driver version 16.10.1. The RX 480 is a continued failure in VR.

he still mad.

VR is shit though
No games are going to use it effectively, you end up wanting to go back to a Mouse+Keyboard or a Controller instead of using the shitty controllers VR headsets come with. Its NOT worth the money.

>caring about vr performance

VR is only good for 2d porn games.

>I haven't even tried vr: The pos

I absolutely love actually aiming my weapons and grabbing shit, I wish I valve would add hand tracking and vr support to all of their games because I fucking love onward and I bet csgo would be 10 times better.

THE NUMBERS
WHAT DO THEY MEAN

>good in VR

Absolutely keked

Again proving you have never tried vr. I have just as good, if not better spatial awareness in vr. Hell it almost gives you better spatial awareness solely because you are completely immersed in the game and it is all you hear/see.

You're trying real hard to hate something you haven't tried.

Sure but you'd need a decent OC I'd say. 4-4.2ghz should do.

We already knew the 480 was utter shite at vr before it even came out. Pajeettech ran one using the steam vr benchmark and it got a lower score than even a 390.
>>
who the fuck uses vr?

This. I even bet my left nut that vr is the 3d craze all over again

>THIS IS THE NEXT BIG THING PEOPLE! YOU ALL NEED TO BUY THIS VERY SPECIFIC HARDWARE TO EXPERIENCE ALL THIS IMMERSION!
>Welp changed my mind, we're moving to the next big thing now

Which leaves me to wonder what will come up after vr?

Kyle eternally assmad and BTFO.

As long as they have that sweet opportunity to shove new hardware down sheep's throats that they won't use after a couple years, it could very well be a possibility
