Two things, 1) ios multitasking is very different to android multitasking and doesn't actually run the apps in the background but suspends them. 2) that's rubbish because at the very minimum you can control how aggressive ram reclamation is on android.

Everything crashed regularly, the thing was slow a.f, held nothing in memory, would not receive about half my texts/calls, notifications were sporadic and the best bit was the battery lasted for half her 8-5 work day and died just by sitting in her bag.

Everyone knows android is a poorly coded OS. The only reason why it exists is because a group of autists neighboring Google created it as a side project. Google wanted to compete with Apple and didn't even bother doing any research and just bought it, even though there were way better alternatives they could've gone with such as Meego or WebOS.

Apple app developers are basically forced to work with 1-2GB of memory because 4 year old iPhones are still supported and if an app uses too much ram it tends to get sent back to the autist app developer.
