>be me, a CS major
>take a computer graphics class
>hell yeah this will be fun
>turns out it's nothing but linear algebra
who else got meme'd by a specific CS class.
>>57098973
you're in a computer science class. you're the meme.
best start believing in meme stories. you are one.

Dont listen to this guy he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about
>>57098973
>Love abstract algebra, functional programming, logic and proof
>Hey, a Category Theory course, that sounds fun
Dropped out and graduated with a BA instead of an MSc
> wants to learn computer graphics
> doesnt bother learning the basics behind computer graphics
>>57098973
>be me, a CS major
>take a computer graphics class
>oh boy I can't wait to make vidya gaymens
>turns out these computer science courses teach math and theoy
>"damn it, I just want to make vidya gayms"
FTFY
I hate people like you, all you gamer normies who want to make fucking games
go take a fucking art class if you want to make games
>>57098973
> study software engineering instead of CS
> learn how to set up big CRUD apps
> learn how to confuse non technical people with white board drawings
> learn how to rip off decision makers
> learn when and how to abandon a project and still look competent
> learn how to model complex bullshit graphs and charts that confuse the programmers and never look at them again
> learn how to outsource
I love it.
I really, really love it.

I had a lot of fun in the computer graphics course. Bezier curves, splines, nurbs. It was applied linear algebra, but if you don't like applied linear algebra, why are you doing computer science in the first place?
>had a lot of fun in the math courses
>simple programming easy to do
>anything harder would just take code from other kids in the class
>kids with the best grades never secured their network folders
>now have a job in netsec doing babby tier shit
>>57098973
My computer graphics course was really good, we created an engine with our own framebuffer, polygon drawing, shading and so on before even going onto opengl. I think it depends a lot on the professor, better to do subjects where the professor is an expert in their field, you will get a lot more out of it
>>57099192
>be EE freshman
>struggle understanding physics
>overhear normies saying physics is boring
>assume they think this shit is easy for them
>mfw
T-They'll fail in the end, am I r-right?
>>57099363
no you're just retarded
>>57099363
that wasn't me that responded but if you are struggling with physics
it sounds like you need to study more. I've noticed most of the time
people who are "bored" with a subject either
(a) have already done the class before or have a good understanding of it from previous experience
(b) have no idea what is going on and are going to crash and burn.
>>57098973
Lol we are making dude spinning cubes lmao. Also our professor is a bro that wont let us use deprecated and unnefficient glBegin() functions
>>57099363
Experimental physics is mostly piss easy, which is probably the majority of the physics you need for EE.
Just learn equations and how they are applied.
Now theoretical physics, that is some shit.
>>57098973
>he doesn't know that traditionally computer science is part of mathematics
Get a load of this idiot.
>>57099363
>Freshman physics
>hard
Friendo, I hope you're kidding, the first physics course required for EEs at my school is basic free body diagrams, algebra, and a little bit of trig. If you're struggling with that, how can you be expected to understand fields?
lel I have a degree in computer graphics and I fucking hate maths
actually happening in cs study
>Have 2 classes for 8 weeks followed by an exam
>2 classes are programming in java and computer architecture and design
>All the code-monkeys only want to program all the time and skip architecture and design, the actual CS
>They all fail their exam, but get high marks for java programming.

When I realized glBegin() was deprecated I was discouraged. Then I realized how easy and intuitive modern OpenGL is from this repo https://github.com/colinstein/minimalopengl/blob/master/test.c
Then I realized like yesterday that most graphics programs are in C++. For example If I want to use GLU, which is a library that provides standard data types like vecN and matN, I have to learn C++. Now I'm discouraged again. It never ends.
>>57098973
>starting WGU
>told math test is hard and to study college level math
>studying shit I haven't done in a long time
>feel okay
>take test
>It's 8th grade math
>100%
>get told I'm "above average
I'm no wizard, I would say I'm an average mathematician.
What the fuck did I sign up for?
>>57098973
>CS major
>take compilers class
>hell yeah, we get to learn about compilers and how they turn code into assembly and subsequently machine code
>turns out it's just a whole bunch of theory and not a lot of code examples
My life is a meme.
>>57098973
>meme'd myself into being a Math major up until Real Analysis when I got casual filtered
>spend an extra 2 years in school doing CS instead
>get to later courses
>in Algorithm Analysis
>everyone else sans my project partner (a math double major) has maybe Calc2 at the most under their belt
>score nearly 30 points above the median of the class on the first exam
>>57098973
>taking course on cryptography
>problem sheets encrypted
