I need to access the same mailbox from different devices at the same time.
Some of them share the same connection, some are not related in any way.
I have been experiencing, of course, lagged responses from the Gmail server. We are all using IMAP because we need to share mails and folders.
Is there a better service out there? We just need it to work faster.
please respond ;_;

sure. what's the primary purpose of this shit?
just to receive lots of emails in a mailbox that can be accessed by multiple imap clients without throttling?
guess what senpai, that doesn't work with most free/personal services. you're not the intended use case and they're rightfully throttling you.
if you want to share a single imap box with lots of clients, set up your own mailserver and forward emails to it.

The primary purpose is having multiple persons working with the same mailbox, which is also an archive.
but i'm paying for it...it's google for work...
So I have to set up my own mailserver? That's it?

oh, google for work. definitely throttled.

most services, paid or not, will limit # of connections to a single account.
set up an imap caching proxy (e.g. dovecot + imapc proxy + imapc storage).
you'll definitely need to set up a mailserver.
doing the imap caching + proxy route with the mailserver saves you the trouble of re-pointing mx records. also easier to undo if things don't work out.

sounds difficult. I'm not really into this shit...
Well at least now I am completely sure we are gonna need a mailserver.
I'll need to study a little more.
Thank you anyway.
