It will work, although you may not get 100% of the performance depending on if your on gen2 or gen3 PCIE (i'd say your on PCIE 2.0 or 2.1 but the difference is small)

semi related but 4gb 470 for 279 AUD? i've heard it will have price drop soonish but it seems pretty good at that point and my 6950 is on it's last legs
