Why not get her a proper laptop or desktop? If she's a teacher, she should already know how to use Windows, at least to a limited extent.

Did the same thing, immensely regret it. Just get her a 128GB surface 3. iPads are more prone to glitching and freezing that iPhones for some reason and when they browse web pages they always say how "weird" it looks.

Windows 10 is far more easier for seniors to learn and lets them do things beside play angry birds. My mom quickly learned how to use the stylus and loves it way more than using a mouse.

She wants a tablet though, I think a surface pro would suit her better than an android tablet anyway. Most old folk love downloading youtube videos/music for some reason so having 128GB of internal storage helps which most android tablets don't. They also dislike the gimped mobile web versions of web pages missing a fuck load of useful features.

I would really recommend the samsung chromebook pro that just got leaked yesterday. Chrome OS is even easier to use then ios or windows and it comes with desktop chrome and google play support.

But since it's getting released by the end of the month or next month it will probably come out way too late for your mom's birthday.
