You're probably using botnet10. Microsoft already said they'll actively fight against hackers, cheaters and pirates.

Okay I can understand why they'd go against hackers and pirates but why cheaters? Put it on dev shoulders to have good anti-cheat measures on their online games. And who gives a single fuck if someone cheats in a single player game?

>It was the official site
He's implying whoever made CE is probably filling it with malware because why would anyone make a free "hacking" tool.
>Linux with broad software compatibility when
When at least 20% of current Windows users jump to Linux exclusively, or at least don't purchase Windows exclusive software ever.
>>57068265
Because some cheating tools can be used for more than just cheating in a game, such as CE. It's not like they care about games, they want to protect users from potential malware and exploits found in some cheating tools. If you want to cheat you can always use cheat codes found in most single player games, or use mods of some sort.
>>57068265
And I wasn't even looking to cheat in multiplayer, except to maybe see if overriding the player limit is possible.
>>57068304
Hey, CE worked perfectly fine when I was script kiddie playing Roblox.
Hmmmmmmmmmm
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
>>57068605
Oh, turns out it was being deleted by my antivirus because Avira was detecting it as a PUA installer: Which is a classification given to those free offers that come with legitimate installs.
Somehow, the installation was detected as an addon installer.
>>57068662
Learn how CE works.
>>57068304
CE is open source and has been for a while
>>57068662
Actually, there was a PUA installer, fortunately I noticed it without clicking next.

Cheat Engine is just a "game trainer" and is open source
>>57071152
>CE is open source
But can be used to harm the system in hands of a toddler. And let's face it, only kids care about game trainers.

>But can be used to harm the system in hands of a toddler.
so can firefox
just click all the download buttons and run it
what could possibly go wrong.
meanwhile it's not particularly easy to fuck up your system with CE
>>57071582
>someone makes a trainer using CE
>trainer breaks the system
This could also happen. I'm not saying I'm against CE (I used it years ago and still like it), but that's how Microsoft sees it. They want to destroy the hacking/piracy/FOSS culture so they have less to worry about in the future. That's the kind of mentality they don't want in their customers and want to eradicate. They'd prefer it if their customers were just mindless sheep without any control over their software.

Using acronyms is just bad practice. It causes tons of confusion.
