There is no reason to not use LaTeX for any scientific report.
Why not just use LaTeX? It isn't difficult at all.

I honestly don't understand what LaTex is. Is it a way to publish documents? Is it a standard you can do with any text editor? Is it a text editor? Idk

OP is intellectually impotent. Obviously.

You're cheating yourself. Latex is so much easier and cleaner than Word once you get the hang of it. Do your homework in it and practice it and you'll want to start doing it in latex.
I took a class that gave me bonus points for writing homework in latex. After that class I used it for all my other classes.

Could you post an image of what you did in Word?

It's a ""programming"" language that ""compiles"" into a text document. Often used by nu-male STEM majors to look edgy over normal people who write their documents in Word. It's great if your document is highly technical and has bunch of figures and graphs and equations and shit that would otherwise wreck the formatting of any Word document, but more often than not the content of their reports never reach that level of technical sophistication.

It's an extension library originally written by Leslie Lamport for TeX.
TeX is a programming language for typesetting written by Donald Knuth.
It's also the name of the compiler that spits out device independent files for printing based on TeX source.
