My wireless James Donkey turns off every 5 minutes (sometimes less). I think it automatically shuts off the second it can't get a signal through to its chip. It's so prone to interference, a cup of tea in front of it is enough to make it completely frenetic and unwieldy.
Is this what getting chinked feels like? I'm wondering if plugging to the forward USB port would make it run better since the chip would be closer and less obstructed.

I switched to the front USB and so far it's working much better but time will tell if this really solves anything. My table is full of clutter and so is the back of my PC, if yours is more tidy it will probably work better.

1 week later review: KZ ZS3

I've gone back to my KZ HDS1 for use while coding etc.
The KZ ZS3 sound quality compared to HDS1 is pretty noticeable. The HDS1 sounds more.. natural.
The ZS3's also tend to pop out of my ears despite rapping the memory wire thingies around my ears and upgrading to larger and smaller ear tips.

Overall kinda disappointed.

just fixed my broken redmeme screen for 23$.
Wouldn't recommend if you're not used to working with electronics, especially ones with ribbon cables. You need to rip off a few ribbon cables that are glued down without breaking them, or else you for example won't have vibration.
Would recommend if you're used to fixing shit tho. Replacement doable with just a #0 screwdriver and plastic spatula things.

Received an invoice from UPS man yesterday as I got chinked by customs. The vendor had valued the goods incorrectly so my bill was nearly double what it should have been. Phoned UPS and they waived their fee as a goodwill gesture. Few lessons from this:

1. Learn the taxable/duty payable amounts -- in the UK it's a £15 threshold. When it exceeds that the customs value i.e. what you're taxed on INCLUDES the shipping cost, so for bulky items like I'd ordered, chinkshit might be a false economy.
2. UPS actually act as a broker for you, meaning that you will pay VAT/duty (unless of course it's ""valued"" at below the threshold) and they charge you for doing this, too. Imagine other courier companies act similarly.

Now the real question is: What do about the order? Haven’t finalised it on Ali yet, shall I try and get something out of them for this fuckery? Or is it realistically UPS that dropped the ball since they were so quick to waive their fees? Wat do

Either send it back to the chinks or just pay the customs fees. For chink purchases, always contact the seller (or shop, if you buy from banggood, goybest etc.) and ask them to mark it under the threshold, or as a gift/free sample. But most of the times they do it by themselves without even asking.

you can't play GBA on a NDS with just an R4. You need either the fancy SLOT 1 flash card with a built in CPU (that I can't remember the name of), a SLOT2 flash card, or a 3DS. I recommend the 3DS because it has GBA hardware and can perfectly emulate. A SLOT2 card and NDS(L) would work just as well but those are hard to find and don't have as many uses.

There are plenty of emulators still made. Most run Android, which is fine for it. Dingoo had shitty CPU specs (360Mhz MIPS), and even with Android bloat, the processors in the android emus (>1.2Ghz quad core ARM is common) are more than enough to make up for it.

Ordered some shit from china.

The replacement battery for my ipad mini 3 is awaiting pickup at the post office, but I realised I don't have the adhesive for putting it back together so I had to get some, and because it's so cheap I bought a load of tools to help me out with the job. The job can wait, I'm not really looking forward to it because I'm a bit afraid I'll fuck it up.

Got smaller IR lights for my night vision system I posted about earlier. Right now it has a very big and heavy IR light which is too heavy to be mounted on a helmet.

Then finally a bluetooth mouse for my memepad(s) and a headphone holder for my /hpg/ tier fidelio X2s.

Meanwhile the acoustic foam pads I ordered have entered the country, I expect to hear from them tomorrow or the day after. Got 24 30x30cm sized foam pads for dampening.

Feels bredy gud overall. A week or so for my night vision system parts and my T61 battery.

They're really fucking good. You've got to be a bit of a mong to set them on fire, but I suppose it's possible when you're filling them. Catalytic burner, so no flames involved.
They run for about 10 hours off a fill if you restrict the air flow (they come with a velvet-type bag to help do this as well as stopping you from touching hot metal, don't throw the bag away).
Don't think they'd get hot enough for MREs and they take a while to get up to full temp, they basically make your pockets about the same as a hot bath all day.
