I'd love something like that with no touchpad, a nipple mouse and touch screen, and updated specs.

Move speakers to the base and fit a bigger screen

I have 3, and owned 4.
Eeepc 1000he(1.6atom, 2gb of ram) sold back in 2012.
Acer ao522(c-50 1ghz, 4gb of ram) still the one I use the most. Very usable, until you try to watch YouTube. Audio goes out of sync with video. Biggest plus is its easy to open up and work on. Also, it came with 7 starter, which let me get a legit license of 10(home) for it.
Asus tf100(z3735, 3gb of ram) tablet with 64gb of storage, plus a microsd 64gb card. Hardly touched it. Last time I booted it up was to grab windows 10 before that free promotion ended(since it had win 8.1)
Lenovo Thinkpad 11e(n29** with 4gb of ram) I thought this was gonna be the ultimate netbook. I think mines defective tho, and even if it wasn't, it's too big and bulky to work well as one. I love the heavy duty build quality, but it's the size of a 13" laptop, with an 11" screen(massive bezels) and the specs of a 10" netbook. Wouldn't buy again if I was shopping for a new netbook.
>>
>>57051967

I have a Dell Mini 10 and a Samsung NC10 sat about doing nothing. They will probably stay that way until they go in the trash.

Are these things even worth selling?
>>
>>57063660
Not really. If you had one with a valid license during the free upgrade, it could be worth a bit(since people could use the COA to get their better machine on 10, legally. Then have a cheap win 7/8 thing to fuck around with) but today they're kinda in a weird niche area.

Most are so old that the biggest selling point(battery life) is moot, since the li-ion cells have degraded so much.
>>
>>57063660
If your time is worthless, maybe you could get $20-30 on eBay for them.

Wouldn't keep using Linux better in this situation? I was able to get a noticeable boost with linux-ck with flags for AMD Bobcat.

I do have a dualboot setup right now, since Wine struggles badly on this.

Plus it has 4GB of RAM right now, so it isn't THAT bad.

Can't imagine that you guys use such devices for other stuff. Intel Atom is a pain in the ass and should be verboten.

>>
>>57067929
I'm being perfectly honest. For programming, web browsing, and light gaming they work great.
>They are slow a fuck and having 5 or more tabs open isn't possible.
I've had at least 10 tabs open on my netbook before, never get more than three or four on my UMPC though, I mainly use that for SimCity 4.
>>
>>57067972
>>57067929
Also I'll definitely be able to have 5 tabs open on the UMPC once the new drive comes in. Going to install OpenBSD (right now it's got XP) which I also run on my laptop, I need to try to break 500MiB used memory.
>>
>>57067916

There obviously is or I wouldn't regularly grab my netbook when I want something more portable than my laptop. Like I just said, opinions are a thing for a reason. The chip in the *BEST* x61 is still shit compared to a modern atom or celeron chip. I know, because i just switched from a T61(which has a full-powered C2D chip) to an z3735 atom. Equally as snappy, and both take 3+ hours to do a HEVC rip, and dont manage more than 10fps in KSP.)
