this.
If Linux can do this they will get into the desktop market.

People have been saying "year of the linux desktop" for decades. It will happen, but not in a year. It's a slow process. Torvalds himself said there was no single point where he was like "wow, linux is big". It just slowly grows.
At least 7 is back on the rise again

Is 0.06% something to get excited about? Serious question

This must be hundred thousands or even millions.
i tried using ubuntu and it started up fast and i got used to it quick but the problem was drivers...also seemed like it had a lot of bloat like stupid 3D multiple desktops and basic stuff like steam would not install easily i had to download apks and do stuff in the command prompt and it just wasn't worth the time
for a laptop i would totally use since i already use libreoffice writer on my windows pc for years now but for a desktop computer it isn't worth it yet

Arch is at 0.0000000000000001%
what a shit distro. looks like Ubuntu and LM are the way to go if you want something supported for games.
