Uh, well, I know that Google is totally fine with Python. I have been to a lot of their information sessions at my university. The only thing that matters is that you are actually proficient with the syntax and quirks. But that also means data structures and algorithms.
So for example, despite having more projects in Python, I know how to do algorithmy stuff in Java.
