So, how much space does your Windows directory take?
>inb4 more than 10GiB
Holy fuck, why would you do that?
Bonus points for Windows Embedded rigs
Your installation is that small only because it's recent.
>Holy fuck, why would you do that?
That's not even user choice with Windows, the installation will grow unto itself over time whether you like it or not.
ps zabij sie smieciu
>100GB of space

what do you do, browse facebook all day?
>>57029582
it was upgraded from W8.1, also updated through Windows Update. Plus it has developer package installed.

pls fampai, get back to wykop

I shitpost, watch anime and jerk off, of course.

pls
Why would you care about disk space? Are you poor?

Let me correct you:
>using Windows in the first place

Sorry anon, I'm heterosexual. TempleOS isn't for me

You should.
>>57029555

it seems we have same install date and almost same hour which is quite impressive

so he can use equally shitty software as you? do you push everyone towards windows just so you can feel better about using a piece of shit?

nah just same versions of 8.1 windows, i installed mine this year

Lol ur dumb

I wonder how unique the size of the Windows directory is. Could the NSA/Microsoft use this to de-anonymize posters here?

How the heck do you lower the bloat even further. And why is it that Windows 8.1 seems to boot up fast as fuck. But 100% disk usage spikes for about 3 minutes making programs load slow as fuck.
>>57029663
>140 TB
What the fuck? Is that a server or something?

disable windows updates
Delete the SoftwareDistribution folder
Delete C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Local Settings\Temp
Delete C:\windows\memory.dmp
Delete C:\Windows\Temp
Delete C:\Windows\Minidump
Clear out all .pf files from C:\windows\prefetch
Run "dism /online /cleanup-image /spsuperseded" to cleanup service pack files
Run "Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase" to cleanup uninstall backup files
Thats all I got, still probably won't get you under 10gb
>>57035185
>disable windows updates
nigger why
>>57035222
>nigger why
Because I don't trust microsoft with the security of the binary data on my drives?
>>57035262
Then don't fucking run Windows.
Not installing updates is retarded.
>>57035290
>Then don't fucking run Windows.
I don't want the alternatives, so no. I will disable updates and there is nothing you can do about it.
>>57035324
If it's hard for you to understand that your door is open to MS regardless, and by not installing updates you're only opening the door to more people, be my fucking guest.
>>57035447
I will, thanks for your concern
>>57035324
I don't understand. You are already trusting a closed source OS very certainly full of gov backdoor, at this point what kind of damage can an update do?
>>57035827
This whole thread is retarded.
"I don't know what this does so I shall delete it!"
In before these clowns run into an issue where they'd need a restore point but now the only option is clean install.
Making computer slower by tampering with prefetch/swapfile is also mark of a genius.
>>57035827
>at this point what kind of damage can an update do?
Plenty of damage from incompetent poo in loos. This isn't Microsoft from the Windows 7 era we're dealing with now. And even back then there were OS killing updates.
>>57036039
I hope you at least avoid using an administrator account for your normal usage.
>>57035893
>tampering with prefetch/swapfile is also mark of a genius.
Or you know, I could have a ssd and 32gb of ram and both of these are completely useless.
>only option is clean install.
Have you ever touched windows in your life? This SHOULD be the only option.
>>57035827
it could throw constant advertisements for a new operating system, for a fucking year
it could cause the computer to not boot - KB3133977
it could cause constant BSODs - KB2982791
it could cause wifi to not connect - KB2903939
Its not that I don't trust MS, its that I don't trust the darkies they get to code their """"""security""""""" updates.
>>57029555
These kind of threads prove that many Linux users actually suffer from autism. They feel u comfortable because a OS takes 10GB of space even though storage space hasn't been an issue for years. They have this inner drive to keep everything to a minimum even though they have at least 128gb available. This urge for minimalism and order is a definite symptom of autism. I don't know how to fill my 512GB ssd even though I got windows and shit loads of sample libraries on it. Windows could eat up 50gb for all I care.
Don't waste your time by replying and coming up with cheap excuses because by the time you have read this, I have already left this thread.

CCleaner? Lol cuck
>>57036489
Speak for yourself, I've nearly managed to fill the 960 GB SSD my main partition is on and I will say that I am very thankful to be using a fairly lightweight environment.
It's not just the OS either, it's a lot of other programs as well.
>>57029663

>>57038179

>>57038188
I'm not lying.
>>57038193
Look, you little faggot.
The sizes and dates are anti-aliased and probably even in a different font while the rest is aliased without ClearType activated.
For whatever reason you changed that part and you denying it when it's painfully obvious is kinda funny. Gonna stop with the autism now though.
>>57038215
It's because I installed mactype, it must not work on everything. Regardless, it's not even remotely shopped? Why would I do such a retarded thing? I mean you can continue thinking it is if you want but it doesn't make you any less wrong.
