I have a Moto G4 and I prefer the screen flashing any notifications when I get one, rather than a blinking light. Didn't think I would at first, but I like it a lot. Strangely, it has a notification light anyway it just doesn't use it though you can change this if you root it apparently.

I had a Galaxy S2 which did not have it.
I needed it.

I have a Moto G which has it.
It's very useful.

I would never buy a phone without a LED light again.

As a person who can't fall asleep while single photon is present, no, fuck that. I have to always turn it backside while it's charging.

I always turn the notification LED off anyway, mostly because I lay my phone face down when it's not in my pocket.

Notification led does seem useful, but obnoxious at the same time. I don't want my phone having a green light like an early 2000s electronic. Maybe a very, very soft white glow behind a home button is better. Knowing Apple they will steal my idea.

The notification LED does nothing that the screen wont already do. If I really want some obnoxious flashing when I get a message, I can rig the camera flash to do the same shit. Smartwatch is its own fucking category. Also they are more in the $200-400 range typically not counting iShit

I never had it. Previous two phones were Windows Phones that had Glance display and my current phone is a Moto X Style with Active Display. I don't really see the use for notification leds when information on the display can be much more versatile.

My phone has one and it often blinks even when there isn't a notification. It's fucking annoying.

Recently bought a Moto G4, put off buying it for ages solely due to the lack of notification LED, but now I kind of like not having it.

If I'm busy and I get a notification, I can just ignore it and check it later when I'm free without having an LED constantly blinking to try and lure me into procrastination. If I leave my phone in a room and come back I can just pick it up and the screen automatically turns on to show if I had any notifications while I was gone, so I'm not missing anything by not having one.
