A laptop that is around
13 inches
has around 8-10h battery life when doing simple work stuff along with music and video viewing
with a resolution of a 1920x1080 and hopefully IPS and with at least 120Hz refresh
good performance and can handle most simple games without problem and without heating up
CPU/GPU having max temp of 60 degrees.

The Asus UX303UB ultrabook I have is close to my dream laptop. i5 skylake-u, 1080p IPS monitor, upgradeable 2.5" drive, maximum 12GB ram, GT 940 for light gaming. A better laptop would be the next version if they have Kaby Lake, DDR4 ram and GT 10XX series graphics card.
>>
I recently bought a Dell consumer-tier laptop through my school's bookstore because, well it's complicated.
Anyway
>i3 6100u
>4gb DDR4(One open slot, will be installing another 4)
>Serviceable HDD
>13.3" FHD IPS touch screen that flips around
>okay keyboard, okay touch pad although both are pretty shit

Anyway I fully expected to sell it and purchase something else in a few months but it's actually a really good machine. I'm really impressed with the U series Skylake chips, sure it's only roughly as fast as an i5 2520m but the laptop is very thin and light, with a great display, both things you're not going to get on a t420.

The model is the Inspirion 5000 13 2 in 1.

The rest are the monitor that actually has that product number.

I don't even understand. It's not even really a troll, there's nothing to be angry about except how silly it is. Probably some sort of weird OCD behavior to calm his intrusive thoughts about suicide.

The stats are actually close to the next model in the Acer Predator line, except that that configuration will be over 2000usd.

>>57006648
I'm assuming this means with available technology. In that case, something similar to what people are posting.
Moderate size (13″ for example), keyboard with matias quiet click switches, large ssd, plenty of ram, plenty of ports. Happy to accept a thicker laptop for more durability and battery life. IP68 water resistance would be a nice bonus.

Lots of people are posting things that we don't have the tech for, which is confusing to me. If you're gonna do that why stop at something that'll be available in 10 years?
I want a full lace of electronics through my entire brain, connected to several extra processors, networking and storage devices. Running a fully mathematically proven secure OS, it interfaces directly with my brain, incorporating my memories and a computer file system in one integrated interface, and giving me audio-visual input higher resolution than my actual optic or aural nerves could even physically carry to my brain.
My ideal laptop is the one that this computer creates as an augmented reality projection directly into my brain for when I'm tired of full immersion VR.
>>
I7 with adequate cooling.
Upgradeable GPU
1920x1200 17.3"
Replaceable battery with extended battery options
No chiclet keyboard
Manual fan speed control button
Num pad keyboard
2 2.5" slots
2 m.2 slots
4 dimm slots
Flip open stilts, like a keyboard
Power brick that can supply the laptop under a full load without battery draw.

Honestly most of these features were on my dell m6500 but it was just too dated. Fuck i miss it.

Currently on a MSI GE72, I7-5700hq, gtx 960m, 2 m.2 120 gig ssd raid 0 boot drive, 1 m.2 500 gig ssd storage, 1 2.5" 1tb hdd.

It gets the job done but the quality just feels lacking after having workstations so long.
