Brand new build, whenever I press the power button the motherboard turns on for a sec then immediately off, already tried breadboarding in case of shorts but still happens, also did paper clip test on psu, also if I remove the 8 pin CPU connecter it stays on for some reason. Any ideas what's wrong?
I had a dead CPU cause that exact problem once
Also had a dead motherboard cause it a few times
Check the CPU in another motherboard if you can otherwise rma both
MB already been rma'd so sadly looking like it prob the cpu
Make sure all your PSU connections are proper.
I had the same issue with an LED light strip as one of the connections were put in backward by accident.

could be faulty ram as well, remove it and make sure it at least posts
try resetting the bios? remove battery for a few secs. also, some mb's have led error codes.
does it tingle when you put your tongue on the usb ports or do you feel nothing

this

IBM Thinkpads don't have these problems, Anon.
>>56988732
most likely this op
>>56988732
wouldn't it post with bad ram as well?
>>56988915
OP should get a Thinkpad........they are a professional class computer......not a toy like is attempting to make function.
I've never seen bad ram cause a mono to turn off usually they stay on but won't post
Op could try taking out all the ram and seeing if anything changes
If it doesn't I doubt it's the ram
Reset cmos
NOT YOUR TECH SUPPORT. READ THE STICKY
Might as well pee on it
OP is busy installing windows 10.
Get yourself one of these ya fuckin idiot

Try /r/ techsupport or buildapc
>>56988969
not necessarily - depends what the fault in the RAM is
Tried removing all the ram and same error occurs, I'm gonna try a different psu just in case but since I'm not getting any error beeps I'm fairly certain it has to be CPU related at this point

1 turn off the PC and unplug it
2 unplug/Unset your GPU
(make sure that only your HDD/SSD's are pluged in)
3. connect the power and turn the PC on
4. install Mobo CD/DVD drivers
5. update the igpu
6. update windows 10 to 1607
7. turn off the PC and uplug the power
8. install the GPU carefully with only touching the sides and plug it in make sure its in okay.
9.make sure all your plugs are pluged in
10. plug in the power
11.Boot it up
If it passes a single beep test your set to go.

Stop using words that you have no clue what they mean.

How is this not a power supply issue?
Is breadboarding when you strap someone down and force feed them baked goods?
