Somewhat reasonable, but live maps can show you information about traffic jams and routes around the traffic jam which is useful.

I have a Sony xperia phone and always use the Battery Saving Mode / Stamina mode while I'm at work or asleep, because I can't check my phone there anyway. What stamina mode does is, it disables WiFi, data, and most background services (except important ones like text or phone calls, and the alarm function) while the screen is off. Incredibly useful for while youre at work.
