If the 1050 Ti is $199 USD then it's fucked for Canada for sure, it will go for at least $249 CAD. Add tax to it and this budget ass card is easily a sub $300 CAD card. I think I'll settle with paying $200 on the dot for something of "similar performance". I mean the 1050 Ti seems like a good choice but unfortunately this country is run by weed man.

I can't, all the second hand prices for 970 is $250-$275. Found one 970 Mini for $225. The whole point of considering retiring my 560 Ti is because I can finally have a leap upgrade for a reasonable price, meaning not anywhere near $300 CAD.

Kinda right, from what internet snooping I did, AMD cards remain fairly consistent while Nvidia cards tank down because they introduce new BS 'features' for their gameworks that only newer cards are properly optimised for. Even with just 3gb the 1060 is still going to outperform the 750ti, 780, 970 and the upcoming 1050 and 1050ti. It's not a bad choice for that budget, especially if you intend to game on 1080p for the next 2 years.

Just checked. Two listings of 780 Ti $300 each, and some MSI Twin Frozr one for $345. Meanwhile a few 780 are selling for $200. That's like a third of its price so it's gotta be a non-Ti.
