I don't understand. I purchased an SSD and now boot times are faster, application load times are non-existent, and I can shutdown in 5 seconds or less. I can get Adobe premiere pro loaded fully in literally 3 seconds. It's the opposite of a meme. It's just more expensive

The read/write speed of really good thumbdrives is claimed to be about 100mbps, 20 mbps slower than mechanical drives.
The average thumbdrive is alot slower, mine test to be 6-14 mbps.
The average ssd has a read/write time of about 500 mpbs/ 300-500 mbps. THe more expensive ones have w readwrite of 2000mpbs/1500mpbs
