Why don't more keyboards have the ten key pad on the left side? There are a few under the name "left hand keyboard" but they really are proper right hand keyboards.
I don't know if my little illustration brings it across, having the ten key pad on the left side allows the mouse to at a much more relaxing angle while still having the keyboard centered with the screen.
Am I the only one who cares for this?
>inb4 tenkeyless
>>56956205
Because America invented them, and America is stubborn as fuck and resilient to change.
There are some shitty ones for blown up prices.
>>56956205
Because that way you don't have your hands aligned with your shoulders?
>>56956205
How about no numpad, and a clitmouse?
>>56956524
i want
>>56956524
>clitmouse
>wanting that over a real mouse or even a trackball.
Are you retarded?
That would make me fuckin slow.
>Not having a detachable bumpaf that can go on either side
Why dont people do this
>>56956484
You do, while using the keyboard and while using the mouse. Unlike the with the current version.
>>56956524
Is that a model m or some weird thing? I want that.
>>56956651
She's sitting too far right.
why have the numpad on the keyboard at all?
none of you faggots even 10 key
>>56956866
Disgusting.
>>56956205
>2020 - 4
>not using Vim
It's like you're asking for it..
>>56956910
>disgusting
maybe, but it's damned convenient too
>>56956651
>Not having shoulders wide enough to cover a fullsized keyboard and a mouse and still be properly aligned

/thread
>>56956205
MS Sidewinder X6 has a detachable numpad that can go on either side.
>>56956205
You need a special needs keyboard, OP.
Pic related s how it is for normal, not crippled people with hands growing out of their ass.
>>56956937
You have to be centered with the keyboards or else your hands are at an weird angle while typing.
>>56956205
>Why don't more keyboards have the ten key pad on the left side?
Because you're using the numpad with your right hand.
>>56957018
>>56957024
>not centered with the monitor
>no centered with the letter keys
Damn you must be fat and retarded
I have a free standing one, so it goes| Keyboard | | Mouse| |Num|
maximum comfy.
>>56956205
Because you are either typing, or using your mouse. You don't do both at the same time. Neither benefit from having the numpad on the left side.
But people do benefit from using the numpad with their dominant (which is usually the right) hand.
>>56957048
>>56957024
I didn't look at the monitor, but yeah just pretend it's centered on my face. I can't be bothered to fix it twice.
>>56957085
>he's not using his mouse and typing at the same time
Pleb
Also, what about the games, retard. On PC you more often than not use both,
>numb pad
no need
>>56957109
>>he's not using his mouse and typing at the same time
>typing with one hand
>while doing nothing with the mouse
weak bait
>Also, what about the games, retard
>>>/global/rules/2
would also explain your narrow shoulders
>>56956216
Sometimes I wish I was smart enough to make my own keyboard.
>>56957109
And to add to my post (>>56957139), if it really is an issue, why not just use ijkl instead of wasd?
I played unrealistic shooters that let you carry 10 weapons and used every number key to have a weapon so I'm faster at the top than the numpad.
shitty answer: if you need a numpad at all you're probably a minimum wage cashier
also thinkpad related product. ultrabay classic only, no modern version for anything above the T60
>>56957085
If you use a track point then your hands never leave the home row even while you're mousing
>>56957188
That's the most amazing product I've ever seen, holy shit
>>56957188
oh fugggg
>>56957199
But then what is the point of removing the numpad?
>>56957188
Numpad is still much faster. You'll have to move your fingers minimally. And you're basically used to it already since the numbers are arranged the same in calculators.
>>56957188
Considering buying a T60 jsut for that. Someone help me contain my autsim.
>>56956952
Too bad it was an awful keyboard otherwise. I bought a G15 not too long afterwards.
>>56957217
>>56957234
>>56957240
sorry let me clarify, my mistake. T60, AND above does not have it. It's only available on the A series and probably below the T60 like T42 and T22 but those are retro jerking off hipster territory single cores. check thinkwiki.org they will list out each model for sure
