>researching cooling fans (mostly case, pic unrelated)
>all reviews, no matter how positive complain about the noise
>look at specs
>one fan was rated at 25db at 100%
Then
>look up autism
>one of the symptoms is noise sensitivity
It all makes sense now.

The only trustworthy fan spec is the RPM which you can verify yourself. Every other number is made up, and there is no standardized test for static pressure, CFM or decibels.

Nobody wants noisy pc fans. Noctua do a good range, they are very quiet
Fan thread? Why does pic make the noise of 1000 angry misquitos? Taken from a stock 95 "silent" am2 heatsink

This. Different reviewers/manufacturers use different methods to test.
If you want to get coherent results to compare make sure the results all come from the same reviewer/manufacturer and hope they use the same home-made standard for all their tests.
>Not buying a Corsair AF/SP fan and painting the ring yourself.
Faggots.
>not buying 250CFM Delta fans

>Not liking color coordination.
>Pros: Good fan for my push pull configuration. Great fan control. Can't ask for anything more.
>Cons: NOISY! I couldn't figure out it was the fan until some further inspection of my rig. Sent it back for a replacement. Same noise.

This is every fan review. And the "noise" complaints are pure autism. I've bought dozens of fans throughout my lifetime, with "noise issues" in the reviews. They were never loud. It just sounds like air moving which is what a fan fucking does.
Reading customer reviews on tech sites gives you a good idea of what an autistic person is like.

>Caring about the noise over performance
What you do is you wire your computer up in another room so no matter how loud it is it is always 100% silent to you.
Best thing I ever did.

What about the display?
>>56948676
I like the Nidec more, they also have metallic casing and stop in less than a second while also operating at higher RPM/CFM and static pressure.

>Nobody wants noisy pc fans. Noctua do a good range, they are very quiet
this.
I don't understand how someone can spent 100s of $$ on CPU and $$$ on GPU and then buy $10 fans and suffer from noise and constant vibrations. It's fucking idiotic.

These are not for CPU use though.
These are though.

He gets latency and quality deterioration from distance and adapters.

this would have bothered me a few years ago, but I'm about performance now.
Forget LEDs and case windows tbqh.

Since this thread has many fan enthousiasts... let me ask you guise a quick Q...
Courier just dropped these off... 2x Noctua + 212 EVO.
I've been thinking about placing the noctua on the EVO and placing the stock fan from EVO at the back of my chassis. Other noctua will go to the front of the case. They're all 120mm... Sounds okay?
